Family Court Orders, Variations and Enforcement in Nova Scotia

How family court orders are made, changed and enforced in Nova Scotia, including interim and final orders, material change, parenting enforcement and support enforcement.

The legal route depends on what kind of document already exists. Interim orders, final orders, registered agreements and private agreements are not interchangeable. Variation usually concerns final parenting or support terms and can require a material change in circumstances, while property terms are generally much harder to reopen.
